John Quincy Director of Administration

Fentanyl Free Communities Foundation (FFCF) announced that its Board of Directors has expanded John Quincy's leadership role with the organization, naming him Director of Administration.

In this role, Quincy will oversee FFCF's meeting minutes, records, and financial reporting, and will work closely with the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Policy Committee. He will report directly to the Executive Committee and will help lead strategic planning, budget oversight, and administrative operations as FFCF continues to grow its statewide impact.

Quincy brings more than 40 years of experience building organizational capacity through strategic planning, marketing management, communications, public policy development, and stakeholder engagement. A 34-year resident of Minneapolis, he previously served two terms on the Minneapolis City Council from 2010 to 2017, where he was elected Majority Leader and chaired the Ways and Means and Budget Committees. During his tenure, he focused on public finance, affordable housing and homelessness, economic development, aviation environmental impact, and hospitality and tourism policy. He also represented the City of Minneapolis as an appointed board member for organizations including the Youth Coordinating Board and the Family Housing Fund, and served on the Executive Committees for Heading Home Hennepin and Meet Minneapolis.

Before entering public office, Quincy worked as a marketing services consultant and previously served as Director of Marketing Services for Lakewood Publications/Nielsen Business Media in Minneapolis. Earlier in his career, he held several roles with the American Marketing Association in Chicago.

Originally from Bloomington, Illinois, Quincy earned a BSBA in Marketing from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago. He has lived in Minneapolis for 34 years with his wife of 41 years, Anne, who serves as Supervising Attorney of the Benefits Unit at Mid-Minnesota Legal Assistance (Legal Aid).
